Hi everyone, it’s Zari! Happy almost-New-Year!
I am so, so, so excited for 2022—I love setting my New Year’s resolutions! And I love New Year’s parties. AND I love getting all dressed up in something glittery! And I love confetti! And I love K-pop and I love baby animals and I love fruity candy and...
Sorry, I got distracted. Anyway, I love setting New Year’s resolutions, but I also have so much fun looking back at what I’ve accomplished over the last year! And in 2021, I did a lot! I got the highest GPA in my class AND I downloaded TikTok to learn all of the fun dances. I also started learning how to bake! I love making cupcakes and pies and other treats for my friends’ birthdays. This year flew by, right?
Do you also love New Year’s and New Year’s Eve? It’s okay if you don’t! (Lily doesn’t like it, but I make her celebrate with me anyway!) BUT, if you’re looking to reflect on everything you’ve learned over the last year, then my friends at Duolingo have a little New Year’s gift: check out your Year In Review!
All of the different learner styles are so fun, I can’t pick a favorite! I love hearing what other people got this year—Lily’s a Midnight Muncher because she always studies at night, and my neighbor Bea (she’s so cool) is a Long Streaker—she didn’t miss a single day of studying all year! Isn’t that wild? And no matter what learner you are, Duolingo’s here to remind you about all you accomplished this year on your journey to learn a new language. We are so proud of you and all of your hard work! You are awesome!
Oh, I almost forgot to tell you mine! This year, I’m a Curious Polyglot! I’m studying Korean, French, and Danish. Korean is super fun because now I can be an even BIGGER BTS fan! And I really, really want to go to Paris next summer (with Lily!) so I can climb the Eiffel Tower and practice my French. And Danish… well, I just love the idea of “hygge” and wanted to learn more! I love bouncing around multiple languages to keep my practice fresh and fun! Next year, I’m going for World Champion because I'm going to practice so much and learn so many new words. I can’t wait!
Speaking of new words, can you believe that all together everyone on Duolingo learned more than 14 billion new words this year?! That’s so many words.
And guess what—your Year In Review is live in the Duolingo app, right now! (Can’t find it? Try updating your app!) Once you check it out, be sure to share it with us on social media! Tell us what words you learned, how many hours you studied, and what you’re going for next year! 2022 is going to be our best year yet, I can feel it!
Year in Review reports are only available to learners who were active for at least five days between January 1 and November 30, 2021.
